About our Industrial Monitors/Displays
Industrial monitors and flat-panel displays, which are used for rugged applications, need to be tough for continuous use and deliver superior protection from environmental conditions such as dust and dirt, chemical exposure and more. As a long-term manufacturer for the military and oil and gas exploration facilities, Daisy Data Displays knows your requirements and offers a wide range of tough industrial monitors that deliver excellent long-term value.
We manufacture, engineer, sell and service industrial display monitors rated to the specifications commonly used in food and pharmaceutical processing, manufacturing, oil and gas exploration, and flight simulation:
- Division 1: The National Electrical Code (NEC) defines Division 1 hazardous locations as any area where “ignitable concentrations of hazards exist under normal operation conditions and/or where hazard is caused by frequent maintenance or repair work or frequent equipment failure.”
- Division 2 (Zone 2): Division 2 hazardous locations — Zone 2 in regions outside the United States and Canada — include areas “in which ignitable concentrations of hazards are handled, processed or used, but which are normally in closed containers or closed systems from which they can only escape through accidental rupture or breakdown of such containers or systems.”
- NEMA 1: NEMA 1 enclosed industrial display systems are for indoor use. They protect personnel from inadvertently accessing hazardous parts, while also protecting the equipment inside the enclosure against the ingress of solid foreign objects, such as falling dirt.
- NEMA 4X: The NEMA 4X standard is one of the most commonly used in rugged computing. It guarantees that any industrial display monitor will offer protection against windblown dust, rain, sleet, snow, corrosion and other factors. NEMA 4X industrial monitors are well-suited for both indoor and outdoor use.
