NEMA 1 PCs and Displays

Our NEMA1 rated computers and monitors are constructed for indoor use to provide a degree of protection against dust, ingress of solid foreign objects (i.e. falling dirt), light, and indirect splashing but is not dust-tight; primarily prevents contact with live parts.

NEMA 4x Computers and Monitors

NEMA 4X computers and monitors are constructed for either indoor or outdoor use to provides protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (i.e. windblown dust); to provide a degree of protection with respect to harmful effects on the equipment due to the ingress of water (i.e. rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose directed water); that provides an additional level of protection against corrosion; and that will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.

Division 2, Zone 2 PCs and Displays

We offer numerous Division 2 or ATEX Zone 2 computers and monitors designed for situations where potentially hazardous material is expected to be safely confined within closed containers or closed systems, and will be present in the atmosphere only through accidental rupture, breakage, or abnormal operation. This includes a location in which ignitable concentrations of a combustible material(s) are present in the air only under abnormal operating conditions.

FM Approved Division 1 Computers and Monitors

At Daisy, we design, manufacture and test our Division 1 PCs and monitors for situations when a hazard is present in the everyday normal production operation or during frequent repair and/or maintenance activity. This includes a location in which ignitable concentrations of a combustible material(s) are present in the air under normal operating conditions.

NEMA 1

NEMA Type 1 – Enclosures constructed for indoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against access to hazardous parts and to provide a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (falling dirt).

NEMA 4X

NEMA Type 4X – Enclosures constructed for either indoor or outdoor use to provide a degree of protection to personnel against access to hazardous parts; to provide a degree of protection of the equipment inside the enclosure against ingress of solid foreign objects (windblown dust); to provide a degree of protection with respect to harmful effects on the equipment due to the ingress of water (rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose directed water); that provides an additional level of protection against corrosion; and that will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.

FM Approved Classes

FM Class I, II & III

Class l Areas in which flammable gases or vapors may be present in sufficient quantities to be explosive or ignitable.

Class ll Areas made hazardous by the presence of combustible dust.

Class lll Areas in which there are easily ignitable fibers or flyings present, due to the type of material being handled, stored or processed-but in which such fibers or flyings are not likely to be in suspension in the air in quantities sufficient to produce ignitable mixtures.

FM Approved Divisions

FM Division 1 and 2

Division 1 – Normal Situation: A hazard is present in the everyday normal production operation or during frequent repair and/or maintenance activity.

Division 2 – Abnormal Situation: Potentially hazardous material is expected to be safely confined within closed containers or closed systems, and will be present in the atmosphere only through accidental rupture, breakage, or abnormal operation.
